Christmas, Part 2
Some more shots of Christmas day. Scout was so excited about all the presents she received!

Lincoln playing with some of his new toys

Debbie is inside the tube. The kids were playing and laughing with her

For dinner we went to Debbie's grandparents. David and Jefra were there and Jefra had purchased some costume jewelry and Debbie and Grandma went thru it and dressed up in it. It was pretty funny.

We got very busy in the afternoon and didn't get a chance to go to Tami and Daryl's house! So sad! We love you guys!

Snow Dogs
Maggie has a lot of favorite things. Her number one is fetching and her number two is snow and water. She loves both. So since we don't have access to a pool out here, she loves to fetch in the snow. We have a school park near our house that has almost every side fenced in and the dogs love it.

Debbie took this picture and I loved it. Lucy doesn't get the fetch and return thing but she loves to be chased by Maggie while she holds onto the ball.
We couldn't leave the park without Maggie going down the slide. She loves it! She climbed her way up and slid down and jumped right in the car. (I wish I had video of that!)

So today is actually a white Christmas! It was snowing this morning and the grounds are covered in powder. What a great day to watch "White Christmas!"
Thanks to our Friend Janae, we have corrected the nativity! The baby Jesus has been born, but the old picture showed Mary and a Wise Man! (Mary would have had a lot of explaining to do!) Now the set is complete and I am glad not to have to blog every day! :)
Here is a recap of our Christmas morning! I (Stephen) can't sleep in at all. I got up at 6am but was suprised to see Debbie was getting up too! We got up and took the dogs on a walk. When we got back we decided to open the dog's stockings, but they decided to get in a BIG fight, so we put them both upstairs in seperate rooms while we opened our presents. They finally came down, but neither of them are in very good moods today.
We will blog more later about the rest of our day! Merry Christmas all! Hope we can all take a moment and reflect on what the day is really about!

Day 1
A Partridge in a Pear Tree! (I thought this would be Christmas day, but somehow I got totally messed up!)

We are watching "It's a Wonderful Life" tonight. Couldn't think of a more fitting film to watch on Christmas Eve.

And somehow I got confused with days with Debbie's present. It got to big for the place we were keeping it, so we moved it last night and added the Wise Men. So she got two yesterday.... (Don't ask what happened... I don't know!)

Today the angel has joined the nativity!

Day 2
Two Turtle Doves

We watched "The Muppets Christmas Carol" tonight. We have watched this movie every year since we got married. What a great movie!

The Wise Men's camels!

And finally, we got this cute picture of the dogs last night! Aren't they amazing?

Day 4
4 Calling Birds...

A recap of yesterday afternoon... We watched Ernest Saves Christmas! I used to think that movie was so funny! I think it is a different kind of funny now! It is pretty stupid!

A while ago we bought a set of DVD's that included "The Music Man", "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers", and "Meet Me In St. Louis". We decided last night that we needed to get a break from Christmas so we put "Meet Me In St. Louis" in and started watching it. We did not know that this was considered a Christmas movie! We really enjoyed it though! We started it last night and finished it today.
Mary and Joseph have made it to the Nativity! We are getting close!

We also watched "The Grinch" tonight.

Since it was Sunday today we decided to watch some church movies dealing with Christmas! So we watched "Joy to the World" and Debbie and I thought a lot about our missions (since the movie came out when we were serving).

We also watched "Mr. Krueger's Christmas."

The other nice part about today was the Christmas program at church! Debbie was asked to do the narration in our ward and she did a wonderful job. The music was very nice and the program was great! Today was a day to reflect on what Christmas really is... (with the Grinch's help!)

FIVE GOLDEN RINGS!

This morning we watched Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. What a crack up!
The Manger

Day 6
6 Geese of Laying...

Ok, tonight we watched one of our favorite Christmas movies. The movie is called "Mixed Nuts" and it is so hilarious! Every review I have ever seen has given it the worst ratings, but there are so many parts that are just so dang funny!
It has a wonderful cast, Steve Martin, Madeline Kahn, Juliette Lewis, Rob Reiner, Adam Sandler, Rita Wilson, and so many others. For those who have not seen it you will probably think, "What are they smoking at the Walter house" but we highly recommend it. (Sorry if I have talked it up too much!)
And finally, Debbie received the Wise Men background today for the Little People Nativity.

Thank you Ryan and Sierra!
At Stephen's work party we had a white elephant gift exchange. We received this High School Musical puzzle from Ryan and Sierra. Sierra told us we needed to blog the completed puzzle, so... here you go!

It took us 1 1/2 hours to complete this beautiful 300 piece work of art!

We were delighted to spend our evening watching Christmas movies and trying to figure out the tiny pieces in the puzzle! Thanks guys!
Tami, this puzzles coming your way! Hope you enjoy!

Day 8
Eight Maids of Milking...

Debbie received the beginning of the next set for her present...

And we watched probably the most inapproriate Christmas movie, but probably one of the funniest! National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I couldn't put any clips on the blog because they were either too inappropriate, or just too long! Anyways, it was very fun and we laughed a lot!
