Easter 2014

Happy Easter many months later....
We decided that this year was the first that Bennett was old enough to dye Easter eggs, so we bravely gave him some to do.

We were not brave enough to let him wear a shirt that he could ruin though..

Here he is making a big mess.

Completed eggs.  He was so excited!

The hunt the next afternoon... he needed a little guidance to find the eggs.

The verdict loves jelly beans and does not like peeps... another evidence that this kid is just like Steve.

Happy Easter!

Winter Activities

In the end of December and early January the "Dave" Walter family came here to Utah and we got together at temple square.
Here are some cute shots from our outing.
Bennett Loves all the attention.

Bennett and Jake, Bennett calls him Jate.

Silly boys

Pretending to play the wii

What handsome boys, Bennett misses Jake since he lives so far away.

Painting with mommy.  It was kind of a mess but he loved it.

Baby Sister

Well its been a few months since we announced that we were going to be having a baby the end of June.
We found out on Debbie's birthday that the baby would be a girl.
It was a rough couple of weeks in the middle of January and are very glad that we are in the clear now.
Due to a testing error we were told that our baby had a high chance of Downs Syndrome.  We went into a specialist to have further testing done and was then informed that the wrong due date was submitted when my results were run.  We went from a 1 in 9 chance to a 1 in 2300 chance once the correct info was entered in.  We were so relived and it truly was the best birthday present to get that news.
Here are some shots of our baby.

Girl proof on this one
Since getting the news she was going to be a girl we have been preparing little things like cute dresses and headbands since we know she will not have much hair for at least a year.

We are excited and a little more scared for this one because we know a little of what we will be in for.
Katie just had her baby boy named Truman Paul Chase and we were at the hospital visiting and got to hold him.  Steve even changed a poopy diaper.  We had forgotten how small babies are when they are born.
