Craft Projects, Part 1

Here are a few projects I have been working on for the babies room.  Once we get everything put together we will post a video of the room.
This lamp started as a clear glass lamp with a brass base (that I got at DI for $4.00) that I painted  brown.  I also found a lamp shade for $1.00 that was pretty damaged.
I cut the fabric circles on my cricut and added the nail head trim.  I think it turned out cute!
I got the dogs paw prints quite a while ago but found this cute silhouette and painted the canvas.  They will hang on the wall next to each other.
I found these at Restoration Hardware and loved them but not the price tag!  $319.00 plus shipping!
So I made my own!  I spent a total of $12.00 for the canvas!  I love them!

Spots

Dear Baby,
This is what Spots looked like when we first purchased him right after we got Maggie.  This was her  first friend!
This is Spots today.  He has been through so many surgeries and so much love!  We have been through so many toys!  We just can't get rid of him.  So baby boy, make sure to keep your toys up so Maggie doesn't "love" them to death!
Still loves him!

Cousins

Dear Baby,

You have cousins here who are so excited to play with you!  We took them to get treats a few nights ago and we wished you were there to play with them.

4th of July

Dear Baby,

On July 4th of every year we celebrate our freedoms and love of our country!  It is a fun time of year, especially in Utah.  On the 2nd we went to your Great-Uncle Richard's (and Great-Aunt Susan's) home for a family party!  Oh the fun you will have there!  They are truly so giving and loving and their home is so fun!  We really had the best time.  Thanks to them for everything!!!  (I forgot the camera!)

On the 4th we spent the day with the Nelson's and had an awesome time!

We rode our bikes to the shaved ice stand and enjoyed a nice treat

You will love this place but you will have to wait a few years to get your own!

We spent the afternoon relaxing and headed back to their house for BBQ and smores.  We also got the funniest video below of Jeremy trying to catch the chickens to clip their wings!

After dinner and dessert it started to rain a little and then it started to rain a lot!  We headed out front to quickly do fireworks but we got poured on!  It stormed so hard so we finished the fireworks the following evening (and got rained on again!)

It was a fun holiday!  We are excited to show you all these fun traditions and start making our own traditions with you!

Yard Sale and Chicken Coop

Dear Baby,

We haven't forgotten about you!  We are really behind in our blogging.  But you are growing and growing!!!
You are now the length of a cucumber at about 15 inches long and a little over 2 pounds!!!
But in previous weeks you were the size of an eggplant, an ear of corn, and a papaya (the last being the smallest).  So what have we been up to???

In early May we had a yard sale with the Nelson's to make room for you (and to make a little extra money.)
Here is all of our combined stuff
And it went on and on!
We had a great time but it was a lot of work!
Around the same time Jeremy and I built a chicken coop for their two chickens and their duck.  We stayed up super late to do it and were pretty proud of our accomplishment!
But please don't ask for chickens because this is the first and last chicken coop I will be building!
