Summer Nights

Last night we all met for snow cones before Melissa, Matt, Adam, and Camille left. We grabbed our cones and headed over to the church grass to eat.

Scout was SO excited to know that she had a purple tongue. We will miss you guys!
Debbie left yesterday for Colorado for a family reunion. She will be back Monday with her family! Summer is always very fun in Utah when family comes to visit!

Lagoon

Debbie and I took Meili, Eliah, and Adam to Lagoon on Thursday. Here are some shots from the day!

We had an awesome time with everyone! Thanks to the parents for allowing them to come with us! It was a very memorable trip! Now we all need to go to Disneyland!

4th of July

As we have done for the past three years we celebrated the 4th of July with our family in Salt Lake. We went to Richard and Susan's for a mini Walter Family reunion. It was a beautiful day and it was great to visit with everyone! Maggie and Lucy received a special invitation to attend.

We bought Old Navy shirts this year and found them for the dogs too! We were very concerned about taking Lucy (since she is a little unpredicable) but we decided to give it a try.

Daniel, Melissa, and Tami watching the insanity from a distance. Melissa is in Utah to take Matt to EFY. She came with Matt, Adam, and Camille. (We missed seeing you Brad!)

Ana, Debbie and Maggie swimming in the pool. I stayed out to keep my eyes peeled on Lucy.

Lucy has never acted better! She was in heaven with so many people that wanted to play with her and a HUGE yard to run in! She did grab a rice crispy treat off the table later but that was her only offense. She stayed as far away from the pool as she could!

Fun in the pool! Maggie couldn't get enough. She started swimming at 4PM and didn't get our until 8PM! She swam and fetched and never stopped for a break. She is exausted today!

We had Cafe Rio burritos for dinner. The food and the company were wonderful! Sorry for cutting off Taylor in the picture! (Our display screen has been broken since California)

It was a wonderful afternoon and evening. We wish we could have stayed for fireworks and more fun but we didn't want Maggie and Lucy to freak out and ruin our perfect day with them. Thank you to Richard and Susan for a wonderful day! You guys are so awesome to allow us to invade your home for the day!
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

Up, Up and NOT!

We were given tickets to go up in a hot air balloon the other day. We were so excited! We got up at 5am to get ready to head into Provo for a once in a lifetime opportunity! We got there and waited... and waited... and waited.

They finally raised the first balloon and made the announcement that there was a possibility that the balloons wouldn't get to fly because the weather was being difficult.

So we waited some more until the announcement that they wouldn't fly but that they would set up more so people could see them. Needless to say we were disappointed but they were still very cool! There was a Smokey the Bear balloon!

Along with a Tony the Tiger balloon

Our Pilot finally started his balloon. Here is Debbie near all the action! The balloon was beautiful but the Pilot wasn't very nice. Other Pilots were letting people get in and taking pictures and raising the balloons a little ways to get up in the air, but ours just took his own picture in his balloon and his kids pictures and then started to take it down. Oh well!

We enjoyed ourselves even though it wasn't perfect! It was a fun early morning date!

Union Square and the BART

When we went home for Daniel's graduation we took a trip to San Francisco for the day. We took Melody, Katie and Heather with us. We parked near Union Square in hopes to take the Cable Cars to Fisherman's Wharf but the line was way to long! Since we had all done the Cable Cars before, we decided to take another form of Public Transportation.

So we took some pictures near a Cable Car and headed to the BART station.

Debbie was a pro at figuring our what subway we needed to take to get to Fisherman's Wharf.

Then we bought our tickets and headed downstairs to wait for the next subway to come.

As the subway came I snapped this photo of the girls. The wind gets pretty strong down there!

It was the start to a very fun trip!

Fisherman's Wharf

We took the MUNI from Embarcadero to Fisherman's Wharf. It was very confusing but the driver was very nice in taking the time to explain it to us.

We walked all the way to the end of the Wharf and took some pictures of the bay and of the famous sea lions. The sea lions are amazing! We could have watched them for hours. We even saw a jelly fish!

We had to stop at the dog store! SO much overpriced junk but it was a fun place to stop! We didn't buy anything but had to get a picture of this!

We had bread bowls and salads at the Boudin Bakery. So delicious! We could eat sour dough bread all the time!

Katie took all the good stuff off her salad! Her loss!
