San Diego Recognition Event

In April Debbie and I had the opportunity to go on trip to San Diego for my work.  It was a recognition event and we had a great time being away for a few days without the boy.  We enjoyed our freedom but missed him lots!  Aunt Katie stayed with him for the few days we were gone.

A quick visit in Old Town San Diego the night we arrived.
The view from our hotel room
The night we arrived we had a welcome dinner on the USS Midway.  Here is my super hot wife on the deck of the ship.
Posing in front of two of the many planes on the ship.
They had a private fireworks show for us off the deck of the ship.  It was a great show!
We took a pedicab back to our hotel that night.  Kind of a creepy adventure!
Our next day was filled with a conference for me and Debbie had a pedicure.  That evening we went to Coronado and explored (and got lost).  We visited the Hotel del Coronado and ate at a nice place across the street.
The hotel is quite an interesting design.
Reminded me a lot of the style of the Winchester Mystery House.
It was nice to walk the beach with my lovely wife.
The city from the island.
This was at one point of being lost...  but overall was a wonderful evening.
The next day we spent time at Sea World.  Debbie and I ate turkey legs that were SO gross!  We didn't take any pictures there (and frankly weren't too excited about the park) but still had a great time together!  Can't complain too much with a free pass to the park!
That evening was the awards ceremony.  It was nice to be awarded for the hard work I put into my job last year.  It was also a little bittersweet considering I worked so hard and now I am in a position that I have wanted to do for a while.  I truly felt blessed to have such success and accomplishment this last year.  I had a great team that helped me get where I am now.  However my most important ally was my amazing and supportive wife!  Truly the best!
The President of Community Banking and the CEO of my company.  It was truly an amazing experience and renewed my excitement of working for such an awesome company!
All the while Bennett was home partying with Aunt Katie!  He had a great time and we were so grateful she could help us!  :)  (Thanks also to Tami for her help!)

Easter 2013

We got to really celebrate Easter this year!  We had a nice day at church where Bennett got to go to Nursery and hang out with new friends and learn about Jesus.  Then we came home to search for eggs and open his Easter basket!

His basket was everything balls.  He is obsessed with any type of ball he can find.
Looking thru his stash.
Grabbing the baseball!
Happy boy!
The Easter Bunny was nice enough to hide the eggs inside this year because it was a very windy day.
Gathering the eggs in his basket!  He was having a hard time letting go of each egg when he would find another.  It was a great Easter!  :)

January - March Bennett Pictures

So we have been really bad at blogging the last few months.  So this is an attempt to get caught up.

The winter months in Utah are brutal!  We kind of go into survival mode until it warms up.  So there weren't many activities or pictures taken during this time.

Trying daddy's hat on in January
Bennett loves Oreo's

Riding the carousal at the mall with mommy
Eating a cookie at daddy's work in February
In love with green smoothies!!!
We took a stay-cation in Salt Lake in March.  We stayed in a hotel and went to the Hogle Zoo and to Discovery Gateway.  Bennett loved the animals (especially the seals) and loved to explore at Discovery Gateway.  Great quick trip for us!

Mesmerized by the seals.  They were going crazy!

Loving the meerkats.

We could have watched the elephants for hours.  Mama and baby elephant.  Truly amazing!

His favorite place at Discovery Gateway was the water tubes.  He loved it!
It really was a great trip!  He slept terribly but we had a nice time spending it together and getting away from the craziness that was the first few months of the year.  We had many blessings during this time.
