San Diego Recognition Event

In April Debbie and I had the opportunity to go on trip to San Diego for my work.  It was a recognition event and we had a great time being away for a few days without the boy.  We enjoyed our freedom but missed him lots!  Aunt Katie stayed with him for the few days we were gone.

A quick visit in Old Town San Diego the night we arrived.
The view from our hotel room
The night we arrived we had a welcome dinner on the USS Midway.  Here is my super hot wife on the deck of the ship.
Posing in front of two of the many planes on the ship.
They had a private fireworks show for us off the deck of the ship.  It was a great show!
We took a pedicab back to our hotel that night.  Kind of a creepy adventure!
Our next day was filled with a conference for me and Debbie had a pedicure.  That evening we went to Coronado and explored (and got lost).  We visited the Hotel del Coronado and ate at a nice place across the street.
The hotel is quite an interesting design.
Reminded me a lot of the style of the Winchester Mystery House.
It was nice to walk the beach with my lovely wife.
The city from the island.
This was at one point of being lost...  but overall was a wonderful evening.
The next day we spent time at Sea World.  Debbie and I ate turkey legs that were SO gross!  We didn't take any pictures there (and frankly weren't too excited about the park) but still had a great time together!  Can't complain too much with a free pass to the park!
That evening was the awards ceremony.  It was nice to be awarded for the hard work I put into my job last year.  It was also a little bittersweet considering I worked so hard and now I am in a position that I have wanted to do for a while.  I truly felt blessed to have such success and accomplishment this last year.  I had a great team that helped me get where I am now.  However my most important ally was my amazing and supportive wife!  Truly the best!
The President of Community Banking and the CEO of my company.  It was truly an amazing experience and renewed my excitement of working for such an awesome company!
All the while Bennett was home partying with Aunt Katie!  He had a great time and we were so grateful she could help us!  :)  (Thanks also to Tami for her help!)
