Family Game Night

Last Sunday we started a new tradition in the Walter Family.  We are now holding a monthly game night at one of our homes.  This month was at Katie and Dave's home.  We played Boggle, Scattergories, and Cranium.
Here is the boy's team guessing a "Scensosketch" drawn by Dave.  The boys pretty much rocked in Cranium.
Along with playing games we decided to have each family bring a snack to share.  We decided that each family would bring "healthy alternative" snacks.  Tami made amazing California Rolls, Katie had a veggie tray and baked chips and fresh salsa, and we made a very light lime fruit dip and lots of fruit.
It was such a fun evening!  Lots of laughs and great memories.  We missed our family that wasn't there.  Hopefully this will become a very fun tradition!  Thanks to everyone who came and participated.  We can't wait to do this again.

Remember when we talked about doing that like three years ago ... but then never really got around to planning it? Yeah, we were dumb. I'm glad you starting doing it, though! Healthy snacks are a great idea. Even if it's just chips and salsa, that's always better than brownies!

Have to admit, I walked into Katie's house with my sushi rolls, saw the yummy spread, yet still had an uncontrollable chocolate craving.

So I've decided that I should stop feeling bad for missing all the fun... so long as you promise that you'll keep doing it until Matthew gets there. He'll bring the chocolate!
