This morning Debbie and I attended my mission reunion in Provo for my mission. We met our friends JR and Kristi (JR served with me in Pittsburgh) so we didn't have to attend alone. It was held at Rock Canyon Park and was a very nice event.
I was very nervous about attending since it has been over 6 years since I returned from my mission. It also brings up a lot of emotion that I am not used to dealing with. My mom passed away pretty suddenly half way through my mission and President Cameron (below) developed cancer and was in surgery the day my mom passed away. Needless to say there were a few tears shed but there were also a lot of laughs.
There were the random missionaries that I had no memory of seeing in the field and those that I didn't want to even talk with. I guess it is all part of the mission!
President and Sister Cameron looked wonderful! We spent a lot of time talking and reconnecting.
Elder and Sister Louw (Office Couple) also attended. It was so great to see them! I was really grateful that I had the opportunity to attend.
I meant to get a picture of JR and Kristi's cute family but forgot! Thanks you guys for coming with us! It made it so much more fun and we are so happy we are friends.

Sometimes it's good to go back in time and remember these days. Glad you were able to visit with your missionary president and friends.
Mission reunions are scary enough as it is, let alone adding the extra emotions about your mom resurging. I'm so sorry about that. But how fun that you got to go see some of the people you loved! I can't believe it's been so long since we all got home! (Sam and I got back in November 2003.)
It was great seeing you guys! After we left we talked about how it didn't even seem like that long since we've seen you and how great it is to have friends like that! We can just jump in where we left off and feel comfortable. We'll be calling for a BBQ!
How great! :)
